Velocity Frequent Flyer &
Virgin Australia Campaigns
May Transfer CampaignThe brief: Give members a reason to be excited about travel again after Covid-19 lockdowns & remind them why they should transfer their bank and credit-card reward points to Velocity with an added bonus.
The idea: The Covid-19 virus and it’s impact financially & physically was starting to reduce in numbers but the thought of travelling again for most Australians was unachievable financially. So it was time..
Time to put Velocity’s Points to use.
Time to make new friends, other than your cat.
Time to surf somewhere, other than your local.
And time to snorkel somewhere, other than your backyard.
My role: I led the campaign creatively from ideation, copywriting & concept , through to pitch, design and rollout,. Adapting the idea across different channels and for Velocity, Virgin Australia and additional approved cross branded assets for their banking-partner communications.
I paired playful, relatable copy with travel imagery to turn a Points transaction into the promise of experiencing travel again. The creative had stages throughout the month of May- from launch, personalised offers and reminders and last chance. All stages had consistent visual language connecting the bonus offer, the travel inspiration and the call to transfer. Different messages and offer variants gave the campaign flexibility while keeping the central idea recognisable.
velocity & youfoodz partnershipThe brief: Velocity partnered with Youfoodz to give members another way to earn Points through everyday spending, extending the loyalty program beyond travel and into something members could use regularly.
My role: I brought the campaign creative in-house at Velocity, developing the co-branded communications across digital and member channels while balancing both brands' visual identities.
I worked from brief through to rollout, creating campaign assets and reviewing Youfoodz-supplied creative to ensure everything remained consistent with the Velocity brand.
The launch needed to make the partnership and offer instantly clear, while letting the food do most of the visual heavy lifting. The result was a bright, flexible campaign that connected everyday meals with the bigger reward of earning Velocity Points.
